I'm John Murray, the Founder of FKIN Genius, creator of this website and the person who writes every single word you read here or on the social media channels.

I hope that soon I will be employing others to carry out the tasks I'm currently doing myself. My intention is that FKIN Genius is the inspiration to many and it's not really about the profit to be honest (I have other online businesses where it's ALL about the profit and that's both fine and necessary!).

I want to document everything as I go along and show exactly how I've carried out every single step of this process from buying the domain name (www.fkingenius.com), to creating the product, the logo and graphics, setup the shipping process and the payment processors and everything else in between.

I want to dispel the myth that you can start something like this with absolutely zero financial outlay but I also want to show how you can do it with then least possible. I'm not talking about needing to put lots of money in... so far I have invested zero, but I have been able to utilise software and tools that I paid for a long time ago and assets I use in my other businesses.

I'm just going to be 100% transparent and also show others the cheapest way to do it and also the ways you can make money from all the angles I've learned of so far. I don't know them all, I'm sure of that... but I know many more than I knew 5 years ago when I started trying to make a living online in light of the pandemic closing my street trading business overnight, being left with bills I couldn't pay, a car I couldn't afford to drive and being turned down for every government grant or assistance scheme I applied for.

Back then I was told the only thing I could do was claim benefit payments. I was reluctant to be controlled, never having claimed in my life before, I wasn't about to start. I'd seen friends and family members in the UK and Ireland being forced to attend ridiculous courses and meetings and go to interviews for jobs they didn't want or had no chance of getting.

I'd seen people I knew completely lose their benefit payments for a minor transgression and be forced into committing petty, and not so petty, criminal offences to survive. That was never for me and so I mitigated against the chance of being controlled and manipulated any more than I already was by learning everything I could about how to make money online totally legally and be as independent and free as I could be.

I am starting to grow social media accounts as I believe they are a necessary evil and they're the way I can reach an audience I've never before tried to reach... I believe personal brands will become ever more important as time moves on (which it's doing at an alarming rate) and things become very different in the world. I have my own SAAS platform (software as a service) which I'll be utilising to build a private community that's free from the tight-rope walk of keeping active social media accounts these days... you have to be so careful what you say, in case it offends somebody.. and the parameters for offence seem to change like the wind these days too...

That in itself, the building of a private community is part of the process of building a business online and one I learned from somebody I believe to be the best online marketer in the world today, and so I'll be making that available as the journey moves on.
